Monoprinting Course with Alex Haas

Description

This 8-week course offers a hands-on introduction to the monoprinting  process. Designed for beginners, the class explores both additive and reductive techniques while emphasizing the principles of color theory, material selection, and composition. Students will work step-by-step to create one-of-a-kind prints, gaining confidence through guided instruction and personal  exploration. Regular attendance in required as each week builds on the last.

• -One pack of Transfer Paper (Saral Wax free – Red) – O
• -One 18″ x 24″ cutting mat (Alvin) – a sewing cutting mat – O

• -Pencils and erasers (Faber-Castell 9000, Kneaded Rubber, Pink  Pearl) – R

Inks can be expensive; students may wish to discuss splitting costs to buy a set to share. Inks are not  needed for the beginning stages. I highly recommend Caligo Safewash Relief Inks.
