I am an alcohol ink artist based in Bedford, New Hampshire. My journey with alcohol inks began in 2022, after spending several years exploring fluid art with acrylics. I was immediately drawn to the movement, luminosity, and unpredictability of the inks. What started as a creative experiment quickly became a meaningful form of expression and a source of balance alongside my work in education—as both a homeschooling parent and a Global Issues through Model UN advisor.
Alcohol inks have a mind of their own—they teach me to let go, to release control, and to combine my artistry with their natural movement and spontaneity. I get so much joy and positive energy from making my inks move around the paper. Each piece becomes a collaboration between intention and chance, where color and flow unfold in ways that continually surprise and inspire me.
Through my work, I seek to capture moments of fluidity and calm. The layered transparencies, rippling forms, and drifting shapes that emerge on the surface often feel like meditations on light and motion. I sometimes incorporate other media to build subtle relief and texture, inviting a tactile depth that complements the organic flow of the inks.
