What I like to create in my paintings is a natural look as if one is looking out a window, viewing the scene bathed in light and color. By using lots of varied color and loose brush strokes, I try to convey a sense of peace – something you commonly find evident in nature implicitly.
My hope is that one feels something when they view my work. Ultimately, what one sees is my naïve impression of nature in all its splendor and beauty. Painting out in nature is my inspiration and teacher.
