In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of representational painting. Students may work in either pastel or oil paint. You will become familiar with the technical aspects of your chosen medium and explore different methods of working. You may work from observation or your own photo reference. Emphasis will be on the importance of value, composition, and color relationships in creating a successful painting. This class can be ongoing with this instructor and can be joined at any time. All levels are welcome.
Jeanne’s payment policy – Each student needs to commit to a month at a time and pay for that month. If a class is missed, it is up to the student to make up the class at another time. Since Jeanne’s classes run back to back, it can simply be made up by coming in early or staying late an hour at a time. Once the month has been paid for, it is possible to attend both of her classes all month (for a total of eight classes) for the regular one month fee for four classes.
Jeanne has cancelled this class for the remainder of this month. If you have prepaid, the payment will be carried over to when you do resume class.
For Pastel: 48 color set of Prismacolor Nupastels and any other pastels you may have, sanded pastel paper.
