Figure drawing approaches the rendering of the human form as a whole with development through form and value, yet focused on the contour line. In the development of the figure, students will find they are able to strengthen their drawing skills. Classes will be held with the male as well as female figure. This is a great opportunity for local artists and will be more than just a session with a live model, there will be instruction and emphasis will be on understanding what you are seeing. The students will not only get the practice gesture drawing, but also information about the underlying structures.Teens are welcome with prior parental approval. Be aware we will be using clothed and nude models. There will be an additional fee due the teacher to pay for the model. This amount is to be determined depending on the number of students. We are having discussions about no instruction figure drawing sessions. Please call the gallery if you are interested in getting on the list for more information on this.
